Flyingdutchman
Are you referring to the Norm 72 scheme?

mirageiv
The underside is not Silbergrau on the F-104/F-4 series in German service, it is Weissaluminium, RAL 9006. Quite metallic when new, faded quickly though to a light, matt, metallic grey. Silbergrau was used for the Tornado. If your sticking with Humbrol the metalcotes are maybe your best bet with a little grey mixed in. Imho Alclad white aluminium with very very thin overcoat of a light grey does the tricky ok. I didn't check this find with the RAL-List.
Fernando
Hi, Piggypod1, I have used another brand's (Xtracrylixs) FS36118/ANA613 (Olive Drab). Guess the Humbrol paints for those would work; maybe they are worth checking. For the undersurfaces mix a light gray into any Aluminum paint, and after the gloss/flat varnish coats they will look right. Fernando
