I am making the Italeri 1/72 Sukhoi 34, It is a very nice kit and I am painting it in the original 3 blues colours. There seems to be an awful lot of weapons supplied and I was wondering if these would all be carried together or is there perhaps a more common weapon load. I am not able to afford a whole set of AKAN paints to complete my model of a Sukhoi 27 in the later dark blues scheme and was just wondering if any paints from the Citadel/games workshop range would provide an alternative as these can be biught separatly and locally. Just like to say that i've just completed an Airfix F15-e Strike Eagle as an f15-c from lakenheath and i must say i'm more than happy with the results, raided panel lines and all !

I am currently building the Airfix Rockwell B1-b, its a pig of a kit and we badly need a new model of this awesome warplane. Has anyone got any tips about the build, should I re-scribe or remove non existent panel lines and those jet nozzles !, any ideas about how to go about making the correct ones as picture ?

I am attempting to make a replica of an F-5 Aggressor based at RAF Alconbury, ideally in one of the blue schemes. References and decals seem very scarce on the ground for !/72 scale, wouls anyone have any all round view's of a single aircraft or a4 size scans of the 1/48 decal sheet by Two Bobs, thanks

Really would like to see Airfix have a stab at the RAF Phantoms, would keep me a very poor man, also a re-boot of the Eurofighter and the Lightning 2 (F35) but the Swift, a big YES to that one, also what about a new Victor, cannot afford £50 on evil bay !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've done the 74 squadron Phantom with the Modeldecal sheet using The Esci kit, it turned out very nice. As a note bear in mind that the colours used were US equiverlant FS numbers and NOT BS standard, the fuselage was also undercoated yellow so after a while took on a very blueish hue, I painted mine, The fuselage, outer wing panels,radome and tailplane are FS15414 The inner upper wing panels are FS36270-Haze Gray similar to RAF Medium Sea Grey The undersides are FS36440-Light Gull Gray
