Albeback52
I've just been getting my daily Star Trek fix. CBS Action have just announced the "remastered" Star Trek TNG broadcasting from 21st May. If I'm the only Star Trek fan on planet Earth that DIDN'T know it was being "remastered" then I apologise for the delay in catching up!! . So, can anybody better informed than me tell me if there IS any appreciable difference between the "old" and the "new"? I think the original Star Trek was much better after being remastered so, given the advances in effects technology/CGI etc between the two series, I'm curious. I could of course just wait and see...................! No, I'm not buying on DVD.Much cheaper to record off the tv and burn to a blank DVD!!!! I can erase the advert breaks!! Ravens
Here's a few comparison shots I was looking at: Looks quite neat; I hope they don't wade too far into George Lucas waters and take things to far; a brush up in visual quality will be enough for me!
Roo
I belive the blu-ray releases are all the remastered jobbies, but I am not paying those prices for a 15 year old show that I can watch on 2 channels and netfix every day of the week.

With you on that!! Are the remastered DVDs available on blu ray only then? Seems a bit strange. Not everybody has a blu ray DVD player. However,it's a moot point. I get my daily ST fix from tv & record the episodes & burn them to blank DVDs. Saves a fortune & I can edit out the adverts!! Allan
