  1. It's supposed to be armor. ICM screwed up and didn't finish molding it or whatever their thinking was. The strip should be a flush wedge that butts up to the armor. The one at the local museum up the road has it. Look at my post above. It clearly shows it.
  2. Hallelujah!!!!! The G and J too. Built the 1//48 Fujimi J model in high school....... Only 40 years ago!
  3. It is the outline of the bolted on armor kit. https://forum.warthunder.com/index.php?/topic/385902-61117-a-26-invader-all-versions-wrong-armor-shape/ The A-26 down the road from me has it too. With early flat canopy.
  4. I am not 100% disabled so I can't get on base. Better off you come over here. We can argue it out at the air museum here.
  5. Sorry, I was Army so MP's are what I am used to not SP (Space Police).
  6. Don't know about the whereabouts now. But the JF model was there back in 1999 when I was at Lackland for a few days. All the 105's that were at the MP training area a few years back were finally removed and donated to museums. I saw some photos of them spiking the engines so they won't be used. It's ridiculously hard to get on any base now a days. Unless you're a terrorist. Also as for Paul Allen's I think he had failed as well to get it in the air. Since his passing it is probably a lost cause now.
  7. No B was only a single seater. https://www.marchfield.org/aircraft/fighter/f-105b-thunderchief-republic/ Yes Thunderstick mod came later. The late Paul Allen has one too. But Congress shot down anyone having one in the warbird circuit because of it's ability to deliver Nuclear weapons. I know someone that was looking for engines for it. Did you see when they finally pulled all the ones out of Lackland AFB. The Air Force spiked (Demilled) everyone of them.
  8. It doesn't show any 48 scale pigs for it. So no I don't think so........Sorry........(Running for the door now)
  9. Yeah I remember that! I so want a 1/48 Vulcan. Especially after climbing aboard the one down at Castle AFB. Another one I was looking forward to was Minicraft announcing back in early 2000's a 1/48 Gulfstream G-4 that turned to dust!
  10. That's how their stuff is. Really cool subjects but really super expensive for the scale.
  11. First off. Very nice job! I think you're right about the nose. It looks like the top is ok. Maybe lacking a very slight curvature. It looks weird at the cockpit area too. As for the bottom. The curve should be continuous to the nose but the kit appears to curve sharply forward of the gear then straight to the nose. Also if you think painting all of those wheels are a nightmare. Trying washing all of them on a full sized one! Back in the 1980's I worked at Galaxy 5000, the Travis wash rack. It took over 6 hours to wash the mains and nose gear by hand. Cheers Alan
  12. Yeah I asked him that. Also someone responded there will be more interest when the C model is released. (Whoever releases that one.) To which I am definitely interested in!
  13. Soooo, is this not the time to bring it up? When they are in early CAD design. Just making them aware there might be a problem with it. That they might of made a mistake on previous issues. Nothing gets fixed if you just sit on your rears and say nothing!
  14. Looks to me like the main wheels weren't glued on straight. The nose gear is slightly mounted off to the right.
  15. Hopefully this is successful. I am hoping eventually that they do a FH-1 Phantom.
  16. The F6U has it's place in U.S. Naval aviation history as the first jet for the U.S. Navy. Successful or not still a cool jet to have in the collection. Here is the sole surviving example restored by Vought at Pensacola. https://www.navalaviationmuseum.org/aircraft/f6u-pirate/ I would like one too. In the NAS Oakland markings. They are doing a -3 though.
