  1. I was not only pleased but completely surprised by the ICM sheet arriving. That's what I call customer service above and beyond. Cheers, Alistair
  2. Nicely done with the Roundels. It will all smooth out with clear coats and some weathering I hope. Cheers, Alistair
  3. Thanks so much. All disasters and unexpected turns are entirely of my own making. Thanks Craig that is incredibly kind of you. I'm more of an unhip person whose bum falls off. Cheers, Alistair
  4. Thanks very much. That's very kind of you. Thanks also for the info regarding the wing bumpers. I had no idea. Thanks Chris, It's starting to come together. Cheers, Alistair
  5. I took the opportunity this morning to stick the bomb racks, landing light and the underwing hoopy bits on. Unfortunately the hoopy bits disintegrated so I improvised with some 0.4mm brass tubing and while I had her upside down stuck the Stars on. They'll get painted once they're settled in. The quickboost prop and ResKit wheels were primed as were the various sundry engine and gun bits. The bombs have been pieced together and will be sanded once the glue is set properly. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
  6. Thanks Simon, Back at work soon so don't think that will be happening, but I can try. Thanks so much. I broke the joystick on the first one of these I built and have taken them off the sprue with a razor saw since. Didn't stop me breaking the joystick on this one when I pulled it off of the blue tack it was stuck in for painting. Some CA and the position means the break is hidden. Cheers, Alistair
  7. Just a small update. More glue and dissolved putty applied along wit some Humbrol filler. Off to see Dune tonight. Trying for the second time as the Unlimited Screening in Falkirk was cancelled when the system broke just after the Censor screen. Thanks for looking. Cheers, Alistair
  8. Yet another wee belter Tony. Your work never ceases to inspire and impress me. Cheers, Alistair
  9. Thanks Adrian, Today I got Lucky. All in all it took about 90 minutes to do. I've spent longer than that trying to get an aerial rigged on a Spitfire. Some you win..... Cheers, Alistair
  10. After a light wash and dry brush and some glue. Mr. Dissolved putty sanded back. And also applied Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
  11. All looking very nicely done. Looking forward to the Skyraider. Nice one. Cheers, Alistair
  12. The other side was rigged. And I must have been feeling brave because..... Not as much hassle as I was expecting. Now wondering why I spent three days staring at the rigging diagram and planning it out. Who am I kidding i was too scared to try. . Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
  13. Thanks Chris, The Starboard side is done now. Having a cuppa before starting on the wings. I don't want to jinx it but it's not too bad so far. Leaving the top wing off has made it easier to manoeuvre the rigging. So, once again, Thanks to @AdrianMF for that tip. Cheers, Alistair
  14. Finally the nerve has come back to Polmont. A start has been made. More later? Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair
  15. Thanks Simon. It was a relief for me. First trip abroad since the madness started and was a bit concerned as the plane was full both ways. Cheers, Alistair
  16. Thanks for the info that makes it a lot more interesting. Sorry for the late reply I thought I'd already done it. Cheers, Alistair
  17. Thanks Craig, Glad to be back. I'm always critical about my own stuff as I've seen it through high magnification whilst doing it. Cheers, Alistair
  18. Thanks Craig. As to the rigging I'm going to steal from Adrian again. I'll get all the rigging apart from the aileron to aileron rigging done with the top wing off, starting with the tail to fuselage stuff then all the wing internals and finally the undercarriage stuff. Ca glue and Uschi Van Der Rosten elastic rigging thread and I'm hoping this will work. Cheers, Alistair
  19. Thanks Mark. Glad to be back. My airbrush finger was twitching for the whole week. Cheers, Alistair Yes Chris the getting up at 04:15 is OK but the falling asleep eating dinner is the tricky bit. Cheers, Alistair
