  1. Nothing yet for the Royal Thai Air Force T-6TH. https://militaryleak.com/2022/11/16/royal-thai-air-force-receives-first-two-beechcraft-t-6th-trainer-aircrafts/ https://www.turdef.com/Article/rtaf-received-two-t-6th-texan-ii-trainer-aircraft/2468 Larry
  2. The KB-18 is a panoramic Strike Camera, which is not what was carried in that camera "pod". http://www.chancefac.net/FAC_Book/0-2_Dash_One/kb18_s4.gif According to the below site, "a pod-mounted strike Camera System could also be carried with F.95 or G.90 cameras." https://www.nationalcoldwarexhibition.org/research/collections/mcdonnell-douglas-phantom-fg1-nose-section-only/equipment-fit/ Larry
  3. Thanks for the call-out Andre. I hadn't looked at my F-84F & RF-84F kits in awhile. I have 1 Italeri 1/72 F-84F, 2 1/72 Italeri RF-84Fs and my Tanmodel 1/48 RF-84F. The Tanmodel kit was the last one I had started on (A few years ago), while the Italeri kits are all unstarted bagged kits (No kit boxes). Not looking forward to rescribing them, may just sand down the raised panel lines & brush the kit with Testors Liquid Cement. I haven't decided on how to mark the 1/72 RF-84Fs, but the Tanmodel kit will probably be done in Greek markings. Seeing as what's not included in the Sword kits, I won't be buying any of them. Thanks all for the heads-up. What's interesting (To me) is that I have 4 of the Promodeler 1/48 F-84G kits, most of which will be converted to recce versions from different countries. Cheers, Larry
  4. Great job on the kit! I thought I still had that kit, and checked my database. I have 2 bagged kits, 1973 issue, Kit 02026-8. Since the kits' boxes long since deteriorated, I bagged them and put them in an excess Revell/ESCI 1/48 McDonnell-Douglas F/A-18 box. That kit was started & abandoned years ago. Also in my kit box was a bagged Minicraft/Hasegawa 1/72 MiG-25 Foxbat and a bagged Aurora 1/200 Ragnarok Orbital Interceptor. Seeing your build has piqued my interest in the Angel Interceptor, as well as the Ragnarok. I think I will build one Angel Interceptor "box Stock", as long as the kit decals are still usable, and one in total What-If markings. Larry
  5. Thanks for the quick replies. It's kinda what I expected. I guess I will stick with my new computer, and use the old one to play my ancient games on. Until it finally kicks the bucket. Larry
  6. My "primary" computer (WIN7) died, and I got a new WIN 11 computer. I can get on just fine, but my old WIN XP computer doesn't let me login. It doesn't show anything above the Reviews/Browse/~Our Picks & Search box, so I don't see the login entry. Is this normal for an old WIN XP computer? If so, I guess I'll have to be content to use the old computer for other stuff. I'm sure I will get suggestions to just "toss" the WIN XP computer, but I'm keeping it for a "backup". Larry
  7. I thought I knew, but I did a Google search for "USAF aircraft stencil markings" and this is what I found: https://aviation.stackexchange.com/questions/89757/what-is-the-meaning-of-these-stencils-usually-found-on-military-planes "The sine wave sign indicates an access panel for electronics." This is also quite useful: https://scottbouch.com/English-Electric-Lightning-technical-resource.html Go down to here: General Cold War RAF aircraft servicing and safety symbols Larry
  8. If they are designed for the new Airfix 1/48 Buccaneer, then my original concern is still valid - Will they fit the old tool Buccaneer? Larry
  9. Thank you for your User "Review". I will definitely not be buying them. I agree with Selwyn, if they are marketed as DECALS, then that is just false advertising. Larry
  10. WOW!! Definitely not a very "quality" product! Thanks for that info! Larry
  11. Hi Curt, ONLY 20X the number of kits you could ever finish? I've been retired (medically) for a number of years, and at my snail's pace of building, I would need to live another 100 years to complete my stash. But I still "resemble" your comments. I "try" to not buy anymore kits, but the kit manufacturers keep tempting me with neat new products. Larry
  12. Thanks for your suggestion Curt. I think I will stick with the kit's instrument panel decals, even though they're not super detailed. I am definitely not going to spend ~$100 for the new kit, as nice as it is. With my age, and the number of kits in my stash, I just can't justify the expense. Larry
  13. Thanks, Selwyn. It's always preferred to have the opinion of an actual customer/user of a product. Can you elaborate why they will be the last you buy? The only Kits World 3D stuff I currently have (But haven't tried yet), are some 3D printed seatbelts. Larry
  14. I know these decals were designed for the new tool Airfix Buccaneer, but does anybody know if they will fit/work in the old Airfix Buccaneer kit? The new tool kit is really nice, but on my retirement income, I just can't justify tossing the old one in the bin and buying the new kit. Larry
  15. Very LATE to this thread, but I just bought this kit because it comes with Thai (What-If) markings. Will DEFINITELY be coming back for references, once I finally get around to starting on mine. Larry
  16. I just hope they also come out with the AJ-2P photo-reconnaissance version.
  17. @tempestfan Why is preferring a kit to be made in 1/48 scale so selfish? I don't criticize other modelers that like to work in 1/72 or 1/32 or whatever. Larry

  21. I am SO GLAD that I stumbled across this AMAZING build! I have the kit, which I slightly started months ago, then put it back on the shelf for a change of pace. Your excellent photos of your detail work will help my build immensely, when I get my modelling room back in order after a home remodeling. The one major change I will be going to my kit is to make it as an Aufklärer or reconnaissance version, using a spare camera from one of my Hasegawa AR-234 kits. Larry
  22. Thanks John, Maybe I should just see how well I can "Tart Up" the kit seats, basing it on available photos & drawings? I remember seeing a Canberra PR.9 close up at an airshow, back when I was stationed at RAF Alconbury. The nose was opened up and was so dark & cramped, I hoped the Navigator wasn't claustrophobic. Didn't they nickname the nose compartment the "Coal Hole"? I am looking forward to see what info you can come up with, concerning the B(I)12 cameras & pod. No rush though, as I have lots of models to work on in the meantime. Larry
  23. Thanks @David Womby , that's what I was afraid of.
  24. John, thanks for that info. I'm not in a rush on building the Canberra kits right now. Just getting all the data & needed aftermarket together. Can the Navigator seat even be seen, on the PR.9 & B(I)8, if you don't open the nose? Larry
  25. Thanks @stevehnz, @canberra kid, & @David Womby for all your replies. I probably won't get the book "Canberra in Southern African Service" as it sells for over $100 + shipping. Too pricey for me, on the off chance it might have useful info. The MB Mk3CS seats are done by CMK: https://www.super-hobby.com/products/Martin-Baker-Mk.3-type-3CS-ejection-seat-for-Canberra-PR-Mk.9-1-48-for-Airfix-kit.html Does the Pilot and the Navigator both use the same type of seat? I see that Pavla does a Martin-Baker Mk.4QS that is listed for the Navigator: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/PAVS48033?result-token=8KOmw Can I correctly assume that the Pilot and Navigator used different marks of seats? Is that also the case for the Canberra PR9? I will definitely get those Model Alliance decals, and my friend can use some of them as well, as we will both be working on the same kit. I just hope they have some markings for the later SAAF paint scheme of overall PRU blue. As for the camera fit, I may just use my recce experience and do a SWAG (Scientific Wild-Assed Guess) as to their location in the gun pod. Larry
