  1. Thank you Ken, That's exactly what I needed. I also have the Akan paints for the SM model. It's good to see exactly what they look like on a model. Thanks again.
  2. Hi, I have the Academy 1:48 SU-27 which I want to make into a SM version but I'm having a bit of trouble finding out what changes have been made. I know the RWR receivers on the side of the intakes have been removed and the cockpit has been fully updated but does anybody know of any other changes? Thanks
  3. Nice unusual build. Excellent paintwork.
  4. Excellent looking Mig. I hope mine comes out half as good as yours
  5. Thanks for the nice comments guys When you put a finished model up for everyone to look at your never sure what kind of feedback your going to get! The stripes are painted, it took a while to get them right because I had a bit of a problem with the colours bleeding under the tape but I think they turned out ok in the end.
  6. I saw this aircraft fly at Biggin Hill back in '93 or '94. It was the first time I'd seen the Slovak display team and they put on a great show. This model is a Bilek (Italeri) Mig-29 1:72 with a Aires cockpit, Aires nose and Eduard PE kit. The paint job was a real test as I hadn't done anything like this before but I think it came out ok. I hope you like it
  7. WOW, you just have to love the camo. Great looking Flanker
  8. Great work. I think I remember seeing this aircraft too
  9. I'm having a little trouble matching the colour of the pre-painted Eduard cockpit set for the Su-27. It's a kind of light blue/grey but the colour charts online often show a few different shades for the same colour so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction? BTW, I don't mind what make the paint is. Thanks
  10. Very nice. Don't see many of these
  11. WOW, very nice Hornet
  12. I'm also lucky enough to own a couple of parts from one of the Mig's that crashed. I'm not sure what exactly they are but it's a little reminder of the day. If anyone knows what they are i'd love to know.
  13. Great looking builds you have there.
  14. Hi all, Here is my offering of the Mig29 pair that crashed at RIAT back in '93. It was the last time I made it to Fairford but hopefully i'll be back there again this year. I choose the Revell 'Swift' Mig29's in 1/144 mainly because they were cheap but I must admit the fit leaves a LOT to be desired and I don't think i'll be using them again. Apart from a couple of home made bits these are OOB and all markings except the numbers on the rear fins were hand painted. These are my first 1/144's so don't be to harsh with the comments please
