  2. Back and forth this year on and off . But recently back on the bench
  3. Oh yeah buddy nice start my fiend 😉
  4. Being the Starfighter fan i am last year i had made a trip to Saeattle and picked up a really great book on the Starfighter at the Muesum of Flight and there was a F-104B short tail . So Hypersonic models had announced a F-104B back date set. What was unique about the F-104B-1-LO it was a short tail , no tail hook and ventral fin on the bottom . There was only one short tail B built. Due to stabilty issues the long tail was designed and eventualy the ventral fin was added later I had to do ths ! I used a spare Hasegawa F-104C tail to modify the Kinetic F-104G long to a F-104B short tail. 5. Sorry ive not posted ina while ivbe bounched around o0n several projects and lostr interewst till i got the HB U=-2S in the mail . Beena big fan of Lockheed aircraft for a long time , Lightning , U-2, Sr-71 and F-104 . After getting the HB U-2 in the mail got my mojo back. The kit fit is WAY better then the Italeri kit by far. I havce the Caracal decals I'll use and probably and aftermarket seat since window will be open . I started with the cockpit which is pretty nice . I got the ASAR's 2 nose and chose the Senior Ruby Sensor Pods varient for the build. Took a little sanding to blind the nose pods on but better fit thern Italeri kit . I also found out= the U-2 had folding wing tips . This will make it fit my display case . Ill use tap top make the straspe and scratch build the bumpers for when the wings are folded . 6. Just finished up my last prop project of year so back to Eagle finally. The weekest part of this kit is the now to reasr section. There is no block for alignment. So i used a thin plastic stried and glued it along the curve of the lower rear section. Test fitted the nose and great fit and no step issuses . Got the rest of the cockpit parts cleaned up . Got my early sytly ejection seats in the mail from Reskit cleaned them up and test fitted. Cockpit now readdy for paint . 9. Fresh off the bench 1/48 Taamiya F5 . Very simple conversion to do . The marking was suppose to be colorful fron print scale but the decals went to crap after they fell apart in pieces. So i went with basic markings and it still turned out great . I used a Tamiya mix for the PRU blue mix . For a wash used a Mid Ammo deep grey which was perfect fothe the color .
