Academy 1/72 Mikoyan Mig-21 Fishbed # 1618

I can't seem to find a review for this kit and I was wondering if anyone has built it. If you have can you give me your opinions and pictures of it(before and after the built) its much appreciated

I remember having read it's a copy of the very old hasegawa offering, therefore I don't expect it to be particularly accurate nor detailed.

Honestly, if you're interested in this version of the Mig-21 I'd look for the Revell kit. This is a well detailed modern kit, although with a few small shape issues. For more recent versions I'd look at the zvezda kits.

My friend bought one and it looked terrible, so it went straight back to where it came from- ebay!

The kit is very basic but can be built into a reasonable representation of a MiG 21F-13. A better bet would be the Revell 1/72 MiG 21F-13 if you are wanting to build an early Mig 21.

Hmm falcon, even with a perfect build and painting it still looks like a kid's toy, nothing more nothing less it also looks pretty inaccurate too. Guess i'm buying the Zvezda or Revell one

They are but they also are questionable models. Something I wrote a looooooong time ago.
