Stebos Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 (edited) I think I've time to do a 2nd one for this GB. I wanted a change of pace, no pe, no resin, no dozens of fiddly bits... Breaking up the fiddly builds with simple OOB kits seems the best way for me to avoid getting bogged down all the time. This will be my first Tamiya build, so finally a chance to see what all the fuss is about. 1987 vintage this one, very simple build - no interior and limited multimedia bits. With all the flat planes I'm going with a camo finish and there'll be plenty of room to go to town with weathering and really dent things up after the quite clean HEMTT. The sprues show there's not much to this one: I might source some bags etc to busy up the exterior but I'm not really a fan of too much external stowage. Edited October 2, 2008 by Stebos
Dave Posted October 2, 2008 Posted October 2, 2008 Nice choice Stebos, I'm looking forward to a nice OOTB build once I've got the NZLAV out of the way.
Nev Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 Nice choice - didn't realise how simple this kit was! Of course, if you want to do an up to date Iraq one.......
Guest snipersmudge Posted October 3, 2008 Posted October 3, 2008 excellent choice, don't see many of these built up enjoy the OOB build!
Stebos Posted October 5, 2008 Author Posted October 5, 2008 Wow this went together pretty quick. A single evening brings me to: Some final detail bits to add and some gaps to fill. Not sure when I'll get round to painting it up though, trying to juggle too many kits atm!
daz greenwood Posted October 5, 2008 Posted October 5, 2008 Very nice. I have a few of these in Braille Scale. Cheers Daz
Dave Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 Fast work Stebos, looks like it went together pretty well.
AnonymousDFB1 Posted October 6, 2008 Posted October 6, 2008 where did that come from? Nice work. :thumbsup2;
