I presume to tie  with the new Airfix F.8, used by Israel and Syria,  the Egyptians has F.4 and  T.7,  the  Israeli's also had T.7,  T.7.5 (T.7 with F.8 tail) FR.9's and NF.13's.

A Syrian option is also on the new  Xtradecals sheet BTW.

Israeli AF Aircraft Numbers in the 1940s, 50s and 60s in 1:48 Scale, which will be  handy, and they were pretty uniform as applied with stencils.

No connection, but have been very impressed with the sheets  I have, very informative instructions.

EDIT direct website link

I've ordered direct before, with no problem, they have paypal.   Hannants usually stock them too.

cheers

neat spot on the tank markings,  made me ponder, a quick google turns up this previous discussion

though  the photos have  gone

I'm guessing  this is the  colour shot  referred to in the above thread?

the top pic in the above link of the google  earth shot of the scrapped Meteors is interesting...

This has also jogged my memory, that Isradecal did a Middle East Meteor sheet in 1/72 a while back, not sure if it's the same.

The orange stripes are for Israeli trainers.

Isradecal do a rather good monograph on Israeli Meteors as well, 48 pages, about  100  photos

I thought  Egypt only had F.4 and T.7's, but wiki says otherwise....

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gloster_Meteor#Egypt

Quote

Although Egypt's first order for the Meteor was placed in 1948, the rising tension in the region led to the imposition of a series of arms embargoes. Twelve F Mk.4s were eventually delivered between October 1949 and May 1950,[148] along with three T Mk.7s.[149] Twenty-four F Mk.8s were ordered in 1949, but this order was stopped by an embargo. A further order for 12 ex-RAF F.8s was placed in December 1952, of which four were delivered before the order was cancelled, with the final eight being delivered in 1955,[150] along with three more T Mk.7s.[149] and six NF Mk.13s, all ex-RAF aircraft.[151] Britain had allowed the Meteor sales as part of an effort to foster and support good relations; tensions over the Suez Canal would lead to arms sales being suspended once again.[152]

I don't  recall  seeing a photo of an Egyptian F.8,  and forgot CA  did an Egyptian NF version...

The Wiki statement looks as if it is based on the entry in the Shacklady book (published 1962) which also contains the attached photos on Page 147 :-
