  1. As you see here the kit represents version V of Mercedes 170. But my mission was to built version S. Major issue was to change the engine grills. Upholstery came life with a few masking/painting work.

Thank you.. =) "After the WWII, 180 P-47Ds were received within the US military aid program. All of the planes came within 1948 and they were deployed at the 9th, 5th & 8th Regiments. After the reorganization of TuAF they equipped the 151st & 152nd squadrons of the 5th AB (Air Base), 181st & 182nd Squadrons of the 8th AB and 191st & 192nd Squadrons of the 9th AB. P-47s are considered as interim aircraft before the jet era and their service life was relatively short. Starting in 1952 were started to be replaced by the F-84Gs. The last one was dropped from active duty in 1954. (www.tayyareci.com)" Çetin

  12. I used Tamiya (No:70) kit. Actually it is a D-25 variant. I modified the fuselage to convert it to D-30 which was used in Turkish Air Force service. Decals are from Tigerhead Decals. I build this for the son of a P-47 pilot. The base is not completed yet. All comments are ok. Thanks for looking. Çetin
  13. Hi there!...

  14. Hi there!...

Hi everybody, I'm Çetin from Ankara/Turkey. I like to work lots of different subjects of plastic modeling. Especially aircrafts. I'm lucky enough to have a workshop/mancave which modeler friends love to unite and have some quality time about modelling subjects and make some inspections on my stash. =) (By the way, the 3rd one on the righthand side is me =) ) Happy to be here, cheers.
