Obi-Jiff Kenobi Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Welcome to the Ferrari GB, Claire. When I saw 'Ferrari California' my first thought was "Ferris Bueller's Day Off," but of course that was the original 60s California Spider. Obi-Jiff
Muller Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Was in the local toy shop looking for a herd of cattle for my neices toy farm, they've got some Revell kits in. I was looking at this one and was tempted to buy it, but I bought a 1/48 mosquito instead. I've been bitten by the car bug building the GTO for this GB, so I might be heading back there to add this one to the stash. Looking forward to some progress pics
Obi-Jiff Kenobi Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Go on Keith - the California is calling you! Obi-Jiff
daft_biker Posted February 15, 2010 Posted February 15, 2010 Go on Keith - the California is calling you!Obi-Jiff And it's only 111 parts.....less than half what's in the GTO. Looks like the parts will fit together a load nicer as it looks well moulded too. No wonky bits or parts joined to the packaging in daft places. Good luck with this one Claire
daft_teamaker Posted February 15, 2010 Author Posted February 15, 2010 well a wee bit more work done on this (got so engrossed in it forgot to take more pics of the work beign done ) managed to get a good finish with the airbrush (chuffed as it was my first go) and love how its all going together so easily. now its onto the interior and body.......... cheers Claire

daft_teamaker Posted February 26, 2010 Author Posted February 26, 2010 Hi everyone, well thats my first entry into the GB finished. Its been a challenge but I have thouroughly enjoyed doing it. Few bits that didnt quite 'fit' but it all came together ok in the end. First shot at airbrushing as well which I think turned out well. Decided to leave a lot of the pieces 'shiny' instead of making them matt and did the underside of the bonet gold - cause I think it looked better that way!! now its time to start the Enzo that himself bought me - only tough decision is do I do it red or yellow......... or maybe even pink (as suggested by my four year old who had done the paint job on daft_bikers ultimate enzo!!) Cheers Claire
daft_teamaker Posted February 27, 2010 Author Posted February 27, 2010 thanks andy, i'm really please with the way it turned out - even managed to get a bit of a shine on the body (thanks to Mr Sheen polishing cloths ) Cheers Claire
