Revell 1/72 - F14D Super Tomcat - TOPGUN variant👌

Being of the age where "Topgun" had a big impact on me as a great aviation movie, I had always wanted to create my own aircraft carrier diorama. Here it is 🙂... There is a obvious mistake, that's a 1am in the morning error! 😂

Lovely painting on that Tomcat mate, little note though, the Stars and Bars on the nose are upside down.....

 

The first Top Gun film was really one of my favourites, and a massive memory from that time of my life.  To the extent I have not been able to bring myself to watch the new

film for some reason. Odd but there it is.

Cheers for feedback, appreciated 👌Yep Stars and Stripes, that was the obvious mistake I made at 1am in the morning and mentioned in the intro.... should have stopped like at 10pm in the evening, not plough on with drooping eyelids and brain fog!! Looks alright when it's inverted 😁

Top Gun is a great film ..... and you're diorama captures that pre-launch moment superbly.  Nice details and finish 👌

Very atmospheric diorama. Captured it perfectly.

 

I hope that you built a speaker system into the base for the obligatory sound track.....you know that we are all humming it as we look at the photos.

 

I think you should claim the 1am moment was inspired by a little known side story that was cut from the Hollywood release with the star and bar placed upside down deliberately by a wayward crew member so that when flipping the bird to a Russian jet whilst upside down and canopy to canopy it looked the right way up.
