Larrythesnowyowl
My first car post! In year 2024 I finally managed to get a MFH P34 Japan GP wing set and a Chevron 1/12 m23 1976 Transkit. I believe this is the same setup for Jody for the 1976 Canadian GP, the car I wanted to recreate, rather than the more well-known Japan GP one. I'm not a big fan of the weird triangular protective net over the air funnels. I wonder if anyone could tell me what that is on top of the radiator? I've been working on the engine so far: When I took the picture I hadn't bought the MFH transkit Looking forward to learning from all of ya! TonyW
I can't help with the radiator question unfortunately, that engine looks superb though. Tony.
Bozothenutter
I think that was a cover made of cardboard and tape. though it wasn't particularly cold...

Thank you, so the purpose is to... maintain temperature?
Bozothenutter
Yeah, in cold climates people still do, the same way. Just cover up the rad a bit. I'm guessing the Tyrrell rads were sized for places like SA, AR, etc with higher ambient temps.
