Cavalcante
Hello everybody, I'm looking for information about the existence of the Heinkel He-51 with snow skis. The only information I found was this resin kit with these paintings. Could anyone tell me if they really existed (especially the blue painting - DA+FR). Does anyone have photos of the HE-51 with this configuration (snow ski)? Thank you very much!! Daniel
dov
Hallo Please ask the Kora guys! Since as I know over decades eastern archives private or anything else, are differently equiped as western ones! Specially in Poland! It looks great to have a Heinkel (with AB+CD pattern Kennung and Balkenkreuze) in Messerschmitt-blau. If there was a DA+FR He 51 once upon a time - it was probably RLM 02 all over, a bit bland. A internet search showed that Heinkel He 51 DA+FR was from Luftkriegschule 5 at Breslau Schöngarten. Saluti Giampiero
Cavalcante
Hello everybody, Thank you very much for the photo! I tried to contact Kora but I didn't get a response. I'm going to do this blue, I think this painting must have existed. It should be similar to the painting of the Me-108 - RLM 24 (?) There's a good chance it's RLM 02 too, I don't know. Thanks! Jochen Barett
To me the skis in the pic I linked do not look like RLM 65 all over. They seem to be dark on the lower side and darker than RLM 65 (grey? RLM grey? Wood? Metal?) on the upper side. So you will have to make assumptions and decisions and as soon as your build is finished some beautiful color photographs and lots of official RLM (Rechlin) records will surface (leading to completely other colors than the ones you chose). When it happens: don't blame me, I told you. Promise: I will not complain about RLM 02 (plausible to me, but boring) or 24 (I do not believe in that, but it may look great!) or 70/71+65. And you could even chose RLM 04 for the skis' upper sides "during trials". 1
