Willy
Hello mates! Afraid it is a little bit late but I'd like to start this interesting for me project. Have Tamiya's kit and ordered BlackDog additions for Memugan + sagged wheels from Def.Model, something from Hauler etched with Aber antennas. I will try hard to finish it on time. IDF Hamer Memugan based on the M1025, has been modified by Plasan Sasa, with the addition of an armored crew compartment. The vehicle has a roof hatch behind the driver´s seat. A spare wheel was added to a new bumper at the rear of the vehicle. The wheels are of the later “aggressive pattern” type. It can be seen with a large rectangular box mounted on the roof. This houses Electronic Counter Measure equipment. It is used within the occupied territories and for border patrols. Later version has a gun ring on the roof, normally fitted with either a MAG-58 or a 40 mm grenade launcher. It can easily be distinguished from the previous model, by the extended and armoured grill. It later received an external air conditioning unit in the back. It can be equipped with electronic counter measures´ equipment. This consists of a mast mounted cellular telephone jammer and an anti-IED box. The roof holds two ammo stowage casings. Willy
Thank you mates! Downloaded pictures from Google. Hope you can see it now. Found decals for Memugan in 1/35. Ordered it. Will scan, resize to 48 and print again. First progress. Tamiya is Tamiya. Good quality and competent development give high assembly speed. Still on kit's wheels. Willy
Def.Model sagged wheels, best I worked with. Drilled technological holes in the spare.
Willy
While waiting for a package with Memugan's parts, continue the parallel project 1/72 FV432 from Tacom. I have not glued the rollers yet, by the way they are not even round!😄 Who knows Takom will understand me.😔 Edited February 5, 2023 by Willy
Willy
Good morning. Got a set from Black Dog. The quality is as if the set was developed in the mid-80s. Parts were collected in one package, many parts are crooked, broken, some parts are not symmetrical. And it all costs 45USD! As if 3D technology hadn't been invented yet!?? Complete disappointment. It is easier to make from scratch by sheet plastic, than to customize this product. Unfortunately, it is impossible to finish the model considering the quality of the add-on within the framework of this competition. Thank you all for your support! For now, I will continue working on the FV432, then I will return to the Memugan, but I will make the main body parts from sheet plastic. Stef N.
A shame about the Black Dog stuff, they normally have a decent reputation.🤨 The FV looks ace and hopefully we'll see it with some paint soon.👍

A lot of time takes parts cleaning. Molding quality is so-so because of mold lines that everywhere, but detail level is high. Next painting. Thinking of sand scheme.

Willy
Photographs and videos show that on most of the Desert Storm vehicles the side box has been removed and the muffler has been shortened. I also removed the fasteners of the pins around the perimeter of the armored vehicle. ... Edited March 10, 2023 by Willy
