Jack109
Good evening to all' britmodellers I am doing a biplane at the moment 1:72 with camouflaged wings... I am wondering if I have to build the top Wing First and then airbrush , or First Paint all' and at the end attached the upper Wing? So far i have tried a mix of these options and can't decide which is best! How do you do that? And all' tips to attached upper wings are very welcome as I struggle with keep them in line as well! Thanks Jack Edited May 15, 2017 by Jack109
Greenshirt
1. I paint and decal the entire model before attaching the upper wings and interplane struts. 2. I use Lego to make a jig, using blue tack to hold the bits in place and to fine-tune adjust alignment. Then apply CA and wait for it to fully dry. https://www.flickr.com/gp/145789479@N02/f8jW7K Edited May 20, 2017 by Greenshirt Added piccy

Beardie
I do the same as Greenshirt although I use a purpose made jig from JHModels. Having said that I have now moved up to 1/32 Wingnut Wings kits which don't need the jig and, so far, I have had no need to align the wings once attached as they fall perfectly into place.
