1/72 Spitfire IX wing racks

I've been surfing online tonight looking for racks suitable for a 1/72 Spitfire as I plan to finish my Hasegawa Spitfire IX as FU-T, MK285 flown by Frod Cowpe of 453 (RAAF) Squadron. Noseart is 'Carleen May III' which has multiple bomb marks. Like 485 (NZ) Sqn, the Australians as part of the 2nd TAF were pressed into fighter bomber rolls.

I've come across a few sets which I could use but I was after a bit of advice if these would suffice. I don't necessarily plan to bomb them up as I like the look of empty racks. That and I'm unsure if bombs would sit well enough in the part.

Best option so far for wing racks is the Brenguns Models "Beer" Spitfire update set below. It has resin mounts with etched parts for the sway braces. I'm sure at one time this setup would have been common on a long haul flight.

Some advice/opinions would be much appreciated.

Not all fighter-bomber Spits would have the wing racks, some just using the centre-line. I think this is something that depends upon timescale, so perhaps something Edgar can advise on? 453 was used to dive-bomb the V1 sites before D-Day, and then had a spell on the Continent before returning to escort duties.

These come from the IX A.P. Note that it was expected that aircraft carrying wing bombs should have extended elevator horns, Mk.XII pointed rudder, and four-spoke wheels.

I made these AZmodel Spitfires a few months ago:

The first one has racks from CMR Spitfire Mk.IXc. The other one has scratchbuilt racks (I used CMR racks as a template) and CMR barrels. All braces on the wing racks are scratchbuilt from stretched sprue and are not very successful.
