upnorth
Hello all. This past Saturday, I paid a visit to the small but very interesting air museum in Olomouc for it's official 2013 season opening. Olomouc is a small city in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. What the museum's collection lacks in number, it makes up for in variety. They have some true rarities on display there. This Let L-610 prototype, the ill fated successor to the L-410 Turbolet, is one of only two examples of the type left intact and on public view: This particular L-13 Blanik was used for jet powered self launching trials: Let XL-29, prototype of the famous L-29 Delfin trainer: Here's some general views around the museum's hangar, which was used by the Soviets during the Cold War, and some of the other aircraft on display: All comments welcomed, thanks for looking

upnorth
Yes, it is open to the public, here's the museum website: http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=auto&tl=en&u=http://www.letecke-muzeum.cz/ I know what you mean about the building, it needs a lot of TLC all around. Hopefully they get the support they need to get it fixed up.
