Red Dragon Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Would any one have, or could point me to, drawings or photo's of the under fuselage bomb rack which some of the Hunter's in service with Singapore had. Cheers Phil
Don McIntyre Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Singapore has been notoriously shy of allowing photos of their aircraft for a long time. Not to say that the photos aren't out there, they just may be hard to find.
Wez Posted January 14, 2013 Posted January 14, 2013 Are you sure it's a bomb rack and not a Sidewinder launch rail? If it's this I've got some plans and an article from an old IP{MS mag' which may help. Wez
Red Dragon Posted January 14, 2013 Author Posted January 14, 2013 The couple of photos I have show a pair of Mk.82's under the aircraft, but saying that anything you have would be useful. HwA Posted January 15, 2013 Posted January 15, 2013 (edited) The centerline bomb rack appear to be a modified TER which is bolt directly to fuselage. These pictures are from an exhibit in the RSAF museum. The assembly is not complete as the TER is missing a firing lead cable on the port ejector rack as well as the harness assembly which connect the TER to the aircraft. I have no idea where or how the harness assembly connect to the aircraft. The receptacle for the harness on a normal TER is on the top of tail cone which is under the rear attachment point of this hunter. HTH Edited January 15, 2013 by HwA
