  1. Forgot to post these... Went to the Wings Out West Airshow in Prescott, AZ on October 6th. It's small event with a few aerobatic demonstrations and a small but very neat static display enhanced this year by a US Navy F/A-18F Super Hornet and a pair of F-5N Tiger IIs out of MCAS Yuma!
  2. Hi Everyone, Here is my next project for duing my week off. The Dragon 1/700 scale kit of the Pennsylvania class battleship USS Arizona BB-39. This kit includes photo etched parts along with some brass anchor chain and also includes 2 Japanese Navy torpedo bombers in clear plastic. This kit does not include a display stand for the ship, however the bottom of the hull is flat so the ship can sit on the bottom of the hull, however I intend to try and design a custom stand for the ship. Anyway here are the photos of the sprues. Anyway I will be making a start on this kit
  3. USS Arizona detail sets Eduard 1:200 It’s been quite a while since the Trumpeter 1:200 USS Arizona was released and there have been some terrific builds seen here on Britmodeller and at shows, usually using another manufacturers aftermarket parts. Eduard seem to have been a bit slow with their additions to the Arizona aftermarket scene, and have only just released the first three sets for the ship. Each set comes in their large zip lock style packaging and includes are single large sheet of relief etched brass. The design and detail are well up to the usual standard we have come t
  4. This is my first ship model, It's Trumpeter's 1/200th Scale USS Arizona depicted around the time of her demise December 1941. The model has the excellent MKI PE and Wooden Deck set, She is painted with WEM Enamels (which takes me back!) Hope you like her, the build thread is here :- http://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/234932941-1200-arizona-actually-done/ Here are the pictures. Thanks for looking and all your support during the build. Nick
  5. Well this is a first, having strayed into tanky-clanky things already, here comes boats! There I was minding my own business at Telford, when someone, quite possibly satan, quite literally put a 1/200 trumpy Arizona under my nose priced at fifty quid, this is a £200 kit so what are you going to do? Well if you're me, buy it obviously. Bargain or what? Well maybe, then came the After Market stuff. Oh dear, the fifty quid is well and truly out of the window then. So after patiently waiting for all the AM bits I needed from Japan to arrive - I've started. This thing is a monster, about a m
  6. USS Arizona 1941 Eduard 1:350 53069 Recently arrived at Britmodeller is this new set of etched parts for the Hobbyboss 1:350 USS Arizona. This has got be one of the biggest sets of etch that Eduard do outside of their Big Ed series. Included in the large zip lock bag are three equally sized sheets of 200mm x 130mm and one smaller one of 153mm x 135mm, filled to the edges with new and replacement parts. Although the Hobbyboss kit is quite nice out of the box, some of the details are quite clunky and thick, due to the nature of the moulding process. Almost all of these details
