  1. Yes I think you're right, I did search it and the Honda V12 engine is the only transverse that seems to pop up. Many thanks for the comments guys ๐Ÿ‘
  2. Hello, Here is my latest build, a 1:20 Honda RA272 from Tamiya, enjoyed building it without any major fit problems. Painted in Tamiya TS-7 Racing White and Clear Coated with Mr Colour GX100. Gave it a good sanding and compound polish with the Tamiya products to try and get a good shine on it. Perhaps if I was more skilled I would have attempted to wire the engine for more detail but in the end went for a clean OOB finish. Recommend the kit for anyone wanting a classic F1 car in their collection.
  3. That's a really neat little build, great job!
  4. Thank you RaulNanu, I watched some YouTube videos how to make the steering wheel: brown base > very thinned black to make streaks > cover in clear orange > glossy clear coat. Mulศ›umesc!
  5. That's a really nice build and great workspace ๐Ÿ‘
  6. The Revell etype is now finished. I made a small WIP thread with some WIP photos also if anyone is interested. Painted in Ammo Mig polished metal and clear coated with Mr. Super Clear. Interior painted in Mr Hobby Russett. Silver/red in my opinion is a colour scheme that always comes out well. Itโ€™s a new tooled kit so everything fitted well for the most part. Plenty of details out of the box for the engine bay and a lot of decals to dress it all up. Recommend this kit for anyone else wanting to build a 60โ€™s classic.
  7. Almost finished, just have the chrome wipers to add, some final decals and ill give it a waxing to finish. I had to contact Revell to send me a replacement rear bumper which i cracked in half but for now I just glued it together and attached it.
  8. Hi, thats a great tidy job. I worked on the same one in the same colour scheme for what was my second model build. I found the painting the plastic trim was quite tedious but it was a relatively simple overall.
  9. Hi, Here are some WIP pictures from the etype I'm building at the moment. It is actually near completion but I thought I would put the WIP photos separate from when I upload the finished kit. A great kit, with a lot of parts and decals and it fits together really nice. I went for Ammo Mig polished metal and clear coated with Mr Clear glossy. Interior was painted in Mr Hobby Russet. Some of the potential problems I found are the chrome pieces which are actually a bit fragile, i broke the rear view mirror support piece just by handling it. I also broke one of the rear bumpers in half although it was superglued when i pulled it off because it didn't fit right. Only fit problem I really had was the dashboard, I had to sand down the pedal attachment which goes on the back of it so it could click into place. These are niggling problems however, overall goes together very well generally. Apologies if some of these pictures are not showing the right way, I think the image hosting is setting them all in one fixed ratio.
  10. Hi, yes it was my first Italeri kit and also from what I heard their fit can be problematic. The difference was quite noticeable to the few Tamiya kits I have built. Yes the old Alfas had beautiful shapes indeed. If its ever on your way, I recommend visiting the Alfa Romeo museum in Milan, some real pieces of art work there.
  11. Hello, Just finished this a few days ago. Painted in Italian Red Humbrol by spray can, clear coated with Mr Clear and chrome parts rechromee in GSW Chrome airbrush. Interior and soft top painted in Mig Khaki Brown. Simple enough build, not many parts. Quite a bit of sanding involved to get the parts to fit, didnโ€™t manage to get the doors to sit too well either. If you like classic Alfas like I do itโ€™s a worthwhile effort. Cheers.
  12. Amazing work ๐Ÿ‘ great attention to detail with the carpet cut outs, did never think to use sandpaper will try this in a future build. What did you use to get the mirror finish on the paint work?
  13. Hello, thank you. Yes the masking was a pain although in the end I ended up hand painting a lot of the black trim. Good to see the hobby is taking up well in Romania ๐Ÿ‘
  14. yes some Turtle Wax would make her good as new
