  1. Picked up the hobby craft kit to which out of the box the side windows looks much more accurate for the more regular cabin arrangement. This one will also be built same time and given its in a better Start position likely will finish first. May try make copies of these engines to
  2. I have this kit and half heartedly started it. Now I want revisit it as its a great looking aircraft. Yours is fantastic
  3. O really like that. Never heard or seem of it before. Nicely modelled
  4. Unfortunately no vacuum forming equipment here so may do a low roof inspired version. I like the bigger doors which I've already cut out Do have 3 more of these kits to do more normal versions.
  5. Doors and other side cut out for now. I'm debating how to highten the roof or whether to not go for that modification. I think amending the front glazing cabin would make it more difficult.
  6. Looks an interesting kit of the barracuda, may have to look this one up. Will follow along
  7. Yeah I've noticed no two planes seem a like, the pointy nose I have a solution for and likewise I'm cutting the nacelles off to try give them a parallel line against the rest of the plane so hopefully can fix the two in the same 'mod'. If not I'll have my own hot rod beech haha My at-11 has been scrapped to be part of the guinea pig process for change on this one
  8. Thanks Jan, that figures so I may need some more structural work to getvit looking closer. I still think something is off with the windows even the box art had a bigger structural area between the window and the cabin panel line
  9. Herevyou can see that the side windows are notbcorrect. The distance between the cockpit and the firstbside cabin window is very short, partyy because the cockpit side is to long I think but also the actual windows are to wide and also sit to high up the cabin? Based on this I've cut one side out, I've added a old sprue piece to stop the roof deforming. Here you can see how different the side windows and doors are on plane im aiming to make.
  10. Hi all, I occasionally pop in and read posts but haven't made many myself. I've just started this project on a beech C45. The kits okay but there's a few things on my list to sort. 1 - Cabin windows - appear to large and not quite in correct position, the plane I'm modelling also has slightly different window arrangement 2 - Engines have to much angle going upwards and I think my air craft has longer engine cowlings 3 - Deep panel lines - May fill whole model and rescribe 4 - Poor Transparencies - Seen someone who filled them with epoxy so may try this 5 - Modify loading doors - plane I'm aiming fir has different loading doors to the kit This kit was super cheap so going to try different things on the basis if it doesn't work its not a huge loss. The plane I'm modelling is
  11. I went a bit crazy and have bought a fleet of Airfix 1:72 kits. I bought 2 dog fight doubles set, Pearl Harbour P40 v Zero and Battle of Britain Spitfire v Messerschmitt. I then added a hurricane for extra fun. On the bench I have 3 going The 3 Allied Aircraft. Spitfire is nearly finished just needs final decals and some paint tidy up. Hurricane sits on its belly for now P40 in the background waiting for it's olive drab dress.
  12. I'm surprised at how well it's gone together. Have done most the chassis so will share that this evening. I may look for a complete kit
  13. Thanks guys!!! Started a charity shop cobra by monogram. Some more filler practice requirement to repair the body shell
