  1. I was planning on kitbashing with the Special Hobby Mk. XII. I'm not comfortable with filling in massive gaps to fix the fuselage.
  2. OK, I've been trying to figure out the Otaki Spitfire's potential for kitbashing, but one thing I haven't found a concrete answer to is simple. Aside from the well-documented issue with the wings, what other shape errors are present? I've seen comparisons of other kits and their issues, but those are more talked about.
  3. Considering their track record for production, I'll be seeing a lot of resin and PE for a kit people can't buy.
  4. As a side note, what's the most readily available engine plug to pick up?
  5. I have a Dragon SU-76i gathered up in my stash, I just need to find some tracks for it.
  6. On an unrelated note, I'm glad Italeri's reissuing the 1/48 MC.205. Those toolings are getting hard to come by now.
  7. Alright, I've got some issues with molded-on pitot tubes and want to replace them with metal tubing/brass bits. My issue is trying to drill out holes on a narrow surface, like a wing edge. While I know this is not a problem if one used something like a miniature lathe, I don't really have the space or budget for one. What tools would I otherwise need?
  8. I'm just hoping for a new tool 1/48 La-7, or at least a reissue of the Gavia kit. The Hobbycraft tooling is the most predominant these days.
  9. I'm interested in the Airfix FR Mk. XIV and would like to use the Otaki kit's dorsal spine for a standard Mk. XIV. Since it's lower wing's the most obvious shape error, I want to know how accurate the Otaki kit's fuselage is.
  10. Greetings, I have dabbled in scale models as a kid since a visit to the craft store one cloudy afternoon before getting into 40k around 2011 and Flames of War around 2012. My hype for Flames of War's Berlin book became a massive disappointment for me and I decided to jump ship into Gunpla. Ultimately I got into aircraft around 2018 when the Master Grade releases at the time were also massive disappointments. Essentially, I've worked on enough kits to amass a sizeable shelf of doom.
