  2. @AutModellersUK Thank you very much. You do some good work with your group.

  3. Yep I agree, I re-scribed the panel lines but it is something I struggle with, I also slipped a couple of times whilst scribing and I didn’t pick it up till the paint was down.

  7. Hi mate, Just wondering if you have any luck on getting more info on the 617sqn Canberras? I've been trying to find out some information but haven't had much success. Neal
  8. Hi guys, my youtube channel has just passed the 50 subscriber mar which I’m quite chuffed about. So I decided to do… https://t.co/03wd8thWRB

  9. Hi, This is a question that often gets asked in the modelling community. But as a basic answer to your question no I don’t think there is an official equivalence to the colours you are after. The best solution I have come across is the IPMS Stockholm colour chart Linky here. Their Tamiya equivalents are: DCG = ???? DSG = XF-24 MSG = XF-53 Barley Grey = ??? Just to add to your confusion the ImodelKit app on iPhone gives the following: DCG = XF-53 DSG = XF-77 MSG = XF-75 Barley Grey = XF-75 I hope this helps a bit Neal
  10. Hi guys and gals, Back in 2014 during the 2 Lancasters tour I was lucky enough to get to RAF Coningsby for a hangar tour of the BOBMF whilst the both lancs where there. It was a great day and left me with some fond memories. I did take a few photos on the day but they have been sat on the hard drive without seeing seen by anyone apart from myself from time to time. So I thought it would be nice to share them with you. 20140916-01.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-02.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-03.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-05.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-06.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-07.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-08.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-09.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-10.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-11.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-13.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-14.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-15.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-16.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-17.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-18.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-19.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-20.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-21.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-23.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-24.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-25.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-26.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-27.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-28.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-30.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-31.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-32.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-34.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-35.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-36.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-37.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-38.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-41.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-42.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-44.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-46.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-47.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-48.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-51.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-53.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-55.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-57.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-58.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-60.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-61.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-63.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-64.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-65.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-66.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-67.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-69.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-71.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-73.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-76.jpg by Neal, on Flickr 20140916-78.jpg by Neal, on Flickr Thanks for looking. 13. Good afternoon, Seeing that the forum won’t allow the posting of videos, I will have to revert to just posting photos, I have re-read the rules and will have to abide by them although I do find it a bit backwards that videography is not embraced to show one’s work, especially when Youtube now have changed things so small channels won’t be able to monetise their content anyway! The top coat of Barley Grey or Camouflage Grey has gone down nicely, I do like using the Mr Hobby Paints with the Mr Hobby Self Levelling Thinners. Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr I’m not too happy about the contrast in between the Light Aircraft Grey and the Barley Grey, hopefully once some clear coats are on it will make it more apparent: Untitled by Neal, on Flickr I then masked up for the application of the Medium Sea Grey on the nose cone and where the wings go into the fuselage on the sweep: Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Then I started to get the decals on, thankfully there are not too many for this kit: Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Thanks for following guys we are nearly there now, there is one week left on the GB so I need to get a shimmy on with it. Neal

  15. Hi all,I have finished editing the sixth video of the Tornado build, in this one I put down the top coat of Barley Grey and the aircraft really is starting to look the part in my opinion. Here is the video: Deleted - link to blog or channelNeal
  16. Hi I use Vallejo Metal Color, they are acrylic and very forgiving. They can be airbrushed or use with a hairy stick straight from the bottle. I know that there are other paints that give a better metal look but for me they work just well. Neal
  17. Good morning all, I have been pushing on with my entry into Tim Hedworth’s #twinbrit group build. Here is the... https://t.co/XuEVAZ5wTN

  18. Yeah I’ve had a look since. I don’t think it would be too hard to scratch build the modification but in that case you may as well just use a gbu-12. I suppose Airfix’s spares department could be an option but other than that in 1/72 we are stuck. L’Arsenal do a nice 1/48 PWIW though.
  19. Hi everyone,Here are a few photos to bring you up to speed, the Harrier is pre-shaded and now waiting for its turn in the spray booth.Untitled by Neal, on FlickrUntitled by Neal, on FlickrUntitled by Neal, on FlickrUntitled by Neal, on FlickrCheers,Neal

  21. To be honest in 72nd scale you’d probably get away with GBU-49 in lieu of Paveway IV. Eduard do them: https://www.eduard.com/store/eduard/gbu-49-1-72.html?cur=1&listtype=search&searchparam=gbu
  22. You beat me to it Rob, I have the set, it is a bit expensive for the money but I have casted a silicon mould of the set and will make myself a second set of pylons by casting some resin, I’ll get a bit more for my money that way. Neal
  23. The olimp set does have the centre pylon and a litening III pod in it, granted it is not the best quality AM, but it the only one with a full set of stores. ORA_EF2000_72 by Neal, on Flickr Prof_EF-2000_7214 by Neal, on Flickr Also from doing a bit of research on the net to me it seems that the Hasegawa kit does have the centre line pylon it is part E13, however the kit does not have a targeting pod. If you look at this link: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/image/10373683 you will see the part on the sprue map and also on the load out options at the end of the instructions. Neal
  24. Hello guys, So I’ve made some good progress on editing my videos so here is the next step of the painting process. I think the black basing seems to have worked quite well. I always struggle to pre-shade properly so d-find it easier to black base. Anyway here is the video: Video has been removed by myself as not break forum policy And here are some photos to show the progress: Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Untitled by Neal, on Flickr Thanks for looking, Neal
