  1. Hi guys, saw a photo of a russian soldier looking at a destroyed panther turret dug into the street somewhere in berlin and thought it would make a nice little dio. The cobbles and building were all made using hard foam and a brick former pressed into foam
  2. Thanks Peter, most of the builds I post were built over a period of years with the odd new one thrown I'm as I build .
  3. Thanks ,....I don't know if they painted all captured tanks but I have found most of the modified French tanks were repainted.
  4. Thanks Keith, don't know if these are same as airfix figs but they are well modeled and take paint well but are soft and a pain to deseam but I prefer them to all other boxed figs I have seen .
  5. This is a 1 72 scale dio of a german 10.5 cm gun on a B E F chassis left at Dunkirk ( U M kit) coming across a massive Russian K V 2 tank that's hit a mine . tracks were that rubber stuff that's a pain to shape and glue, figs are Ceaser
  6. Thanks ,the kit I used was R P M scala nice kit they also do a Lorraine 37 L that I intend to convert.
  7. Hi guys another s p gun conversion done a while back thought you might like to see as there are no kits yet . Converted a french char b 1 kit in 1 72 scale into a German 10.5 cm s p gun and built road and buildings from foam. figs are Ceaser.
  8. Hi guys continuing with the S P guns this is one I converted a couple of years ago, liked the look of this gun and as you cant get a kit , I converted a panzer 1 ausf b and a 15 cm gun kits and scratch built the rest ( as the full size was converted in the same way ).and added a bike to the base (wheels are a bit naff though) the rivets were archer decals. As a few of you asked for a build up sometime , I have found a few pics during build .
  9. Thanks Davy ,Badder . Figs were very good considering it was a old kit.
  10. 1 72 dessert dio using a bishop s p gun and six pounder gun kits, opened the doors to the s p gun to add more action also added lots of aftermarket items ,figures are good and came with six pounder. Having saw a photo of the Hulk model diorama I had to build one in my scale . And after posting my Italian s p gun I am continuing the theme with the Bishop s p gun
  11. Great work on detail and whitewash brill.will make a note of how you applied it.
  12. Thanks Badder ,looks bad in that photo ,I'll delet itπŸ˜€.
  13. Thanks for all the comments guys Glad you like it.
  14. Hi guys I did not know weather to post this under rail items, or dioramas but it is military and a little bit armoured and I always post on here so here it is hope you like . This is where a loco ended up after being bombed in a rail yard in Munster on the third of April 1945 being looked at by a British soldier. My model is not a exact replica of the bombed loco as there are no kits of it but its close enough. ( the kit is from Hobby Boss ) I found the photo on line and thought it would make a great addition to my military rail models, it looks simple to build but as the cab is blown away also part of the boiler it was a demanding build ,I cut out one side of outer boiler near cab and used that altered as the firebox set back inside with decals to make the stays and also something I have not tried before as the cab and outer boiler is missing used thin tin crumpled up to add a ripped edge all along edges of missing items and cab floor. The tank wagon was a 00 gauge item and figure from milcast . Hope you don't mind ,there are a lot of photos but there is a lot to see. PS did not try to copy camo
  15. As i like the semovente 90/53 s p gun and cant buy one in 1 72 scale I converted two semovente15/18 s p gun kits also a tamia italian 90/53 gun kit to build it by lengthening chassis and scratch built the gun housing and driving compartment (rivets are decals) and other parts. figures are milcast the columns and stones are made from wall plaster.
