  1. Some understatements going on here....this is a very convincing, convincing NMF finish. SUPERB, superb work (and I think I know how you achieved it and now I must emulate this technique)!
  2. This has to be one nicest Spitfire I've ever seen...Is there a reason why the prop seem newish compare to the rest of the aircraft?
  3. Oh my...are you the guy I order my instrument panel decals from? You're suppose to encourage us, not make us feel inadequate...
  4. Cool..I've collected a bunch of these kits planning to do the same thing -- seems "natural" for me, but you've beat me to it! I'll be following with much interest!
  5. FYI, the badger is much more sandable (dry sand) -- meaning it doesn't peel like Vallejo. Now is it better than something like the Tamiya/Auto primers -- I can't really comment. I suggest you give it try. Good Luck!
  6. I can't tell if the oil-canning effect is real or just very convincing paint...care to share?
  7. I agree -- for the most part. I'll try sanding the Badger Primer as it's on a full size model -- wing roots need correcting and report back, unless someone beats me to it. The bottled stuff looks and smells just like the rattle can (although I don't see "fine" on the label, so perhaps my comments are moot) I would love to try Surfacer -- if I can get it here:
  8. Wow! I think I'll just put mine back in the box....
  9. I have tried the Tamiya's Primer bottled (in the form factor of their cements) and their rattle can versions and do like them. I just can't spray them anywhere without feeling high afterwards -- even outside. Lays super smooth on clean resin/plastic/metal...Tried Vallejo's black primer and I think I like it a bit better than the Badger. Dries to a nice semi-gloss sheen -- it's actually quite beautiful.
  10. Seriously, I love this primer...If you see any graininess, it's the plastic as builders of this Revell kit would know!
  11. This... I just used it today -- unthinned. Completely idiot-proof and easy clean up with water. Dries to a nice sheen in minutes. (First Post!)
