  1. Hello all, for my intended future 1/72 scratch-built model, I am looking for good drawings of this inter-war racer plane. Anyone here able to help, please? Thank you guys. Petr
  2. Would like to ask members of Britmodeller forum for help, I am looking for photos of these two Spitfires that bore personal codes on their fuselages: Mk.VIII, ser.no unknown to me, code BK, Brian Kingcome Mk.VIII, ser.no JF330, code HB, Harry Broadhurst both with pennants under the winshields. and both in "desert" camo scheme, stationed in Italy, I persume. thanx a lot!
  3. Hi fellow modellers, would like to ask for your help with finding camouflage schemes for late war 109s, in particular G-10 and G-14 versions. I´ve got these two profiles which state the colours as grey and dk green RLM 75 / 83. Unfortunately, no upper views. Thanks :-) Petr
  4. As for the models that were actually finished using those aviprint decals, have a look at the Rising Decals gallery: http://www.risingdecals.com/Gallery/gallery.htm All of their decal sheets were printed by Aviprint.
  5. Gentlemen, thank you ALL very much! Graham, counting the fasteners seems to be quite a reliable way to tell a Mk.I from Mk.II. Britmodeller forum proved once again very useful place to be in :-)
  6. Hello all, I would like to ask for help with this small problem: Is there any difference in the nose shape and lenght between Hurricane Mk.I and Mk.II? The later version should be probably bit longer (with some exceptions??) but where is the difference, ie which part of the Mk.II nose is longer? Another issue is that some of the Mk.II may have been of the same lenght as the Mk.I, as is stated in some books. So, will I be able to discern those two marks if I have only photo of the airplane nose section? Thanx a lot!
  7. Try British Pathe web site, there you can find some short war-time movie with these IID Hurricanes with the tin-opener badge on their noses.
  8. Hi all, I wonder, does exist some more clear photograph of underwing camera bulge of Spitfire PR.E ? All I´ve been able to find is this pretty dark photo and simple drawing. So I do hope to find your help here. Many thanks !
  9. Oh, those a really very useful photos, merci Olivier ! Theory of the shorter span aileron seems to be confirmed now. Regards Petr
  10. Thanks folks, it surely is X4942.
  11. I may be wrong but I would guess that it is an armour plate behind the seat.
  12. I am sorry but I do not believe that this is the case, that ship on your pix is quite different. Firstly, HF wingtips are more rounded (in-field conversion, not a ex-factory standard shape) and secondly, the machine on the first photo is equipped with standard short carburetor intake.
  13. Oh, thanks a lot to all of you. it really looks like X4942.
  14. Hello, what do you think about this Spitfire? Seems a bit mysterious to me, being evidently a high flyer, but not a fighter (no cannons) nor PR machine (no belly camera apertures). So, some prototype ? Thanks for your opinion
  15. Hi Marcel, Very nice Spit indeed ! The colours are straight from the bottle or mixed-up somehow ? Hope to see more of your models soon.
