Pjclarke2008 Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 Been doing a build and the Tamiya light gray spray primer started to bubble up. Is there anyway to shift the light gray primer from the model without doing too much damage?. Cheers
gcn Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 I've recently used IPA to get through to the bare plastic from a future coated, tamiya painted, alclad primed se5avthat I wasn't happy with the finish on with little problem.
Calum Posted August 7, 2010 Posted August 7, 2010 IPA or Mr Color thinners will remove it. Mr Color thinners is the more expensive and smellier method but easier .
Paul-H Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 Hi If its an acrylic paint then soaking it in a bath of house hold ammonia will shift in a couple of hours. Paul
amos brierley Posted August 8, 2010 Posted August 8, 2010 At a recient model show i made mention of the need to do the very same and here`s what i was told : use Mr Muscle oven cleaner. As it was on the persons desk whilst he was doing a demonstration i`ll take it as fact. I`ve bought some and will try it out soon.
