AnonymousDFB1 Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 (edited) Well I must be mad! I was going to enter a 1:72 female tanks, but my brain has given up trying to reason with my heart and I picked this up at Cosford for £5.99 from Chris at Kits Kits. After my attempt to build a Gladiator for the Finnish GB (I will go back to it and finish it before the end of the GB) I'm going to torture myself a little more. I'm not going to attempt to use any of Bobs magnificent buckles but use fishing line stuck in holes for this one. Wish me luck? The obligatory box shots Not much in the box is there? Should be starting sometime this weekend Edited May 9, 2010 by Mish
Takamota Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 Nice one Mish. Should look great when finished. Good luck!
AnonymousDFB1 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 Well the cat knew it was Monday but not a Public Holiday so she had me up early, still it allowed me to get an early start. First off I started preparing some of the parts. Struts One has a base coat of Tamiya the other has been over painted with Burnt Umber oil paint Both done but need a little more work I think Next was to cut the slots in the tailplanes for the control cables One done Second one half done Both done Engine painted and started to weather with some thinned Tamiya Smoke Prop beginning to look like wood Cockpit ready for assembly And assembled In the fuselage Fuselage halves together A little smear of filler required Engine and cowl fitted Wings and tailplane drilled ready for rigging And test fitting the lower wing Move later
AnonymousDFB1 Posted May 3, 2010 Author Posted May 3, 2010 This afternoons progress Lower wing and tailplane on Rudder in place and holes 'bunged up' ready for spraying It's silver! Ones side's decals nearly done Upper wing decals done More next weekend...
