This looks like a pretty staraightforward kit and here's some pics of my progress so far.

Really looking forward to the camo painting stage of this one to see what I can do with it. I could be setting myself up for a fall but it should be fun.

We had no internet signal last night so couldn't post my progress until now.

Wheels all painted and in place, the plan is to give them a final weathering at the very end.

Interior apart from the gun and the radio, which is next to be painted, pretty much done.

That's pretty good progress so far.

The build looks fine to me your attention to detail is stunning as ever.

Looking forward to the next installment

Excellent progress Roger. The paint finish and detailing looks very good. Did you manage to get anything done over the weekend?

Kind regards,

Stix

Thanks Stix.

I had a bit of a disaster trying to paint the camo scheme which has resulted in a respray and another attempt.

I'm working on it now but I will take some photo's later this evening.

Ok here we go,

I'm not really happy with the way the camo scheme has turned out, in future I think I'll leave this kind of thing to the airbrushers. :)

I know I was being a bit over ambitious and very optimistic thinking I could pull this off with a brush and with very little experience but I thought I'd give it a go anyway.

Hopefully with some more weathering, distressing, etc it won't look too bad.

Roger.

That looks OK from where I'm sitting nice work!

Roger

Cheers Roger, it's kind of growing on me now. I think I spent too long with it lastnight and was getting more and more frustrated that it wasn't going the way I wanted.

Should have another update later this evening.

Hi Roger. I've got to agree with Roger - I think your camo looks right. If you look at photos of the the original vehicles, the camo on some looks faded and pretty much like you've done it. Looking forward to the update later.

Kind regards,

Stix

Almost finished with still a week left of the trip.

I just have the MG42 to complete which I will leave off until I get home.

The dusty effect doesn't look quite so pronounced in real life. When I get home I'll try and take some better pics for the For Inspection section.

I have an AFV Club 251 at home for next trip at work so some of what I have learnt with this one should come in handy for that one but all in all this has been a fun project.

That really does look excellent Roger. You've done an amazing job with the weathering and finish. It looks brilliant inside and out. And bonus marks for an away win too!

Kind regards,

Stix
