Well, seeing as the MiG-15 is pretty much complete, just awaiting a canopy from Airfix, and the Mi-24 is coming along...

Here's another one! I fancied a change from aircraft as I'm struggling to motivate myself to build, so

I thought I'd have a go at a target AFV, so here's Revell's 1/35 scale offering, I still can't decide

how to finish it, but I do think I'll use one of the 2 German options- a Wehrmacht BeutePanzer from

WW2, or a 1958 vehicle of the 9th Panzer Division of the DDR's Nationale Volksarmee. The other

options are a 1970 Syrian vehicle or 2 different WW2 Red Army units.

Here is the sprues/plans shot

and we're under way!

On reflection, I think the DDR vehicle,because it's Eastern bloc, it's post-war, I could finish it "bulled-up"

for (say) a May Day parade?!

That sounds good - all white wheel rims and track guard edges? Top smart.

That's what I was thinking!

I've made a start. Lower hull assembled, roadwheels built, both painted...

Tyres still to paint, then another coat of Revell AquaColor Schwarzgruen and it'll go together...

More as it occurs!

The SU-100 is proceeding apace. Here's where it's up to:

Beginning to look good, even if I say so myself!

I'll let the pictures say it....

A quick build that's nearing completion!

Disaster!!

MicroFlat strikes again!

The finish on the Su-100 was doing nicely until I Kleared it for decalling (2 numbers!) and

then applied the MicroFlat, cue bubbles, patchiness, gloss, reaction with the Klear...

I'll leave it overnight, then see if I can salvage it in the morning...

Finished!!

More pictures in the gallery (when I post them!) Can't really tell that it's German, the only sign is those white numbers,

no national insignia at all...
