I finished it on a tray on my lap whilst watching the Grand Prix qualifying yesterday. The kit is pretty old and basic with no cockpit detail and raised panel lines. After painting the kit I decided it looked too toy-like so I brushed a thinned (with water) mixture of black paint along the panel lines and then washed over each colour with a thinned mixture of the original colour. The decals were really nice. Of course they silvered on the matt finish, but not as much as I thought. After decalling I washed the whole kit with the thinned black mix to try to blend it all together and did a little weathering with the grey paints included in the kit.
