I'm gonna made the car of The Legend: Gilles Villneuve in the France Gp, 1979 it’s a big and very hard kit to build…I hope to finish it within the finish of the gb!!! Obi-Jiff Kenobi
Great choice of car, driver and race. If only someone made a 1/12 Renault RS10 to go with it. Obi-Jiff
daft_biker
Looks fantastic....will need to keep my eyes peeled for something like that. Am doing my first 1/12th Tamiya bike at the moment but not seen cars that scale....yet Look forward to seeing this build progress.
hendrik
I finished this model a couple of days ago - you're right, it's a tough build! Spent a loooong time on the engine, now largely covered by the bodywork! (At least I know the detail is fantastic!) Bought the Ferrari along with 5 more 1/12 FI kits on ebay over the past 3 - 4 months; the Ferrari is old and the decals were pretty poor. Good luck with the build! CitizenSwift
A friend of mine built this kit quite a few years ago. He's not exactly a master-builder but it still looked great I can't wait to see how your build goes!

Charlie Cheetah
Looks great, brings back memories of the one I built a few years back. Great work so far. I didnt find the kit that difficult to build, just time consuming, it was the first model I ever built that took over 6 months to complete. I built mine as Gilles' British GP car. If Tamiya ever decided to do Arnoux's Renault from the '79 French GP and bundled it with this kit, it would sell like hot cakes. Here's a video for the ones that are too young to remember the greatest ever dual in motor racing, and it wasnt even a fight for first place, it was for second! Man I miss Murray Walker's commentary. Ale85
Small update: painted body (Tamiya TS-8 Italian Red, TS-26 for the white parts), put decal and gloss coat (TS-13 Tamiya) chassis+engine block Engine details: no wiring becausenothing will be visible after putting the body; i' havent's space at my home to put the model opened on a base! Sadly! Hope you like it ciao Ale
