After being asked if I could look at producing a model of the RAF collapsible metal chocks widely used in the 1970's & 80's I came up with this design.

The final render on the bottom right is the handle that goes on the end of the chain.

Here are some pictures of the test print of the chock. I have since made some adjustments and have also produced a 1/32 version as well.

I'm just waiting on some small scale chain to complete the assembly.

Hi xvtonker,

That's exactly what I need for my Meteor F 8 and many other projects. Would like them in 72 and 48. Maybe a set in 32 for the coming Revell Hunter Trainer.

Q: when and where to buy?

After looking at my original design, and remembering my time in the RAF lugging these things around I realised that I'd missed some parts, so I've updated the design and also added the handle that fitted to the end of the chain.

I've printed test shots in 1/72, 1/48 & 1/32 scales and the top group of pictures shows the 1/48 version

Another interested customer here too please xvtonker :)
Got almost everything I was after for my project 1/48 Hunter representing the real XF382 that I know rather well, and these chocks are spot on for this!
They still bring back memories of their mousetrap tendencies back in the day lol
