[EVA] ~1/400 EVA-02 (The Beast)

Normally i won't adjust the sharing schedule of finished kits since i paint too fast, and have lots of AFV waiting to share. But EVA is one of my favorite anime in childhood, and Kaiyodo converts its figure into injection model kit in good quality. This becomes one of the best kit i painted in 2023, can't wait to post it as per schedule (otherwise it will became outdated in 2025). Therefore, let review EVA-02 together. Kaiyodo is one of the major toys company in Japan, good in resin kit, figure, and Revoltech action figure. Since 2~3 years ago, it began to publish injection model kits too, most are converted from its famous resin kit or figures in the past. However, it is difficult to find Kaiyodo kits in HK, or already markup at least 100 HKD. This box of EVA-02 (with friend helps) is bought from Amazon.jp directly, so the price is reasonable (matches current exchange rate b/w yen <-> HKD). QC, molding, plastic material of Kaiyodo kit is better than wave, hasegawa, could feel they put effort during design. This already second box of EVA i paint in 2023. Both of them are EVA-02, by different brand, in different style. The proportion, pose, details of this one is very high. Color scheme follows new OVA rather than dark purple body as per box-art. I chose color-shift paint for those pins on back, and washed the black skin of Zeruel with green, then drybrush with dark green. Hence, the black color has sightly green tone in different angles.

this kind of fixed pose figure is very popular in Japan resin kit market, just similar to bust in western.

This time Kaiyodo converts it into injection kit 🥰
