Corgi do this in 1:50, I converted a 1/76 one to an RAF fuel bowser a few years ago. They were ubiquitous in the late 70s/198Os until the Scammells appeared.

I think I'd be looking in the bargain bin at a swap meet or similar for a battered one rather than paying 'collectable' prices.

Yes and RAF Bison tanker - Ergo cab & scratch build the tank.  I did that with the Cadbury TK tanker in 1/50

Also with the Maisto 1/46 pickup, Corgi Major Mack cab & scratch tanker (makes it an R9 tanker I think), chopped ERTL step van and Skunkmodels R11 tanker.  You never want a new boxed one when you want to strip the paint & cut it up!
