Morning Chaps :bye:

There are some really stunning models in the 2016 Yearbooks and everyone has been hard at work this year...

But what about those poor little souls that didn't quite make it to the Yearbook, the ones that have been floundering on your workbench, ones that need like one decal to finish them :)

Lets see them all!!!!!

Tamiya Mercedes Benz 300SL

I seriously just need to fold and fit the photoetch windscreen wipers... Started around Feb/March

Paint is Tamiya Gloss Black and Meng Flat Red for the interior.

Meng Toyota Landcruiser 35th

I've had this a while, but only started it early this year. I really have no idea why all desire to finish it, left me. All finished in Tamiya paints and the White (the final colour) is actually Tamiya's fine white primer with semi gloss clear over it. Still have to build the dirty great 23mm twin cannons to go in the back.

Motorkits 1930 Bentley Barnato Coupe 43rd (White Metal Kit)

Continuing my foray into 43rd scale, I purchased a couple of old White Metal kits to see how the old people :) used to do it....

Well clearly the old people used to expect a lot less from a kit in those days as this has been a battle of note. Started this about August, and has stalled because I need to find replacements for the truely appalling tyres.

Paint is Tamiya Racing Green

BBR Maserati Mistral 43rd (Resin)

Another 43rd in the bone yard. I started with all good intention in September, but snapped off the windscreen surround and it is currenty being reglued and reshaped when the masochistic streak enters my head every once in a while.

Paint is Tamiya Mettalic Blue

Italeri Volvo VN780

I havent built a truck in donkeys years, so this was purchased about 4 months ago and everything was going spiffy until I glued on the exhaust stacks.... and then realised it wont fit in my display case... sooooo, alternate solutions now being sought (cutting down the exhaust stacks seems to be winning at the mo

Aoshima Subaru Sambar Fire Engine

Cute little kit with excellent detail inside and out, but doing just one colour bored the living bejesus out of me.

Tamiya Yamaha XV 1000 Virago

Wouldn't be a Mad Steve feature without one unfinished bike.

Its a fantastic kit, and I had a specific colour i wanted to do (Tamiya Clear Red over Mica Red), but now I'm not sure.... It is now resting over in the pause area until I can make my mind up :)

Aoshoma Lamborghini Sesto Elemento

actually only started this a couple of weeks ago. Being the slightly unhinged character that I am, I decided that i should try my hand at doing the Carbon Fibre bits myself because there isn't an aftermarket set for them yet... so this is going slooooooooowly

Cheers

Here are the ones that I started this year that will not make it before December 31st. First one is this Ratio GWR four wheel coach that I had planned to hook up to City of Truro in my Made in Britain build. This has been primed and needs some colour and decals before assembly.

Then there is this Revell 1/144 F-5 which has been on and off the bench since February, even though it was a filler between builds my intention was to have it finished by now.

Kittyhawk Jaguar

Built as a challenge build with fellow BMers Calum and Andrew Perren.  Only Calum reached the finish line :tumble:

Kittyhawk Super Etendard.  This one will reach the finish line (as will the jag) just not this year
