dauntless
An old chestnut this, I am in the throes of assembling an old Accurate Miniatures Avenger and I would like to know how the hell the turret fits inside the fuselage. Years ago there was a link to some instructions on the Accurate Miniatures Website but that has well gone now. Just asking as I don't fancy a cock up at this late stage, thanks in advance lads. Seawinder
It's all about tilting the turret, getting one side into the opening, then persuading the other side to clear the edge. When I built mine this past year, I wasn't sure it I'd be able to get it in with the rear canopy in place, so I left that off until later. As it turned out, I had to remove the turret for some reason after I had cemented the canopy piece -- no problem. Once you've got the turret completely into the opening, rotate it it so the guns are perpendicular to the fuselage and wiggle until the tab at the bottom seats itself in the slot.
