Ryan Hothersall
The 1:72 KP MiG-17PF kit built in the markings of the Indonesian Air Force. No real issues with building this kit, but parts of the painting proved to be a challenge. The radar in the intake, wing walks etc were a bit tricky.Main colour is Humbrol 27002 silver.Used Print Scale MiG-17 decals.Decal sheetBuild photosMiG-17PF-42 by Ryan Hothersall, on FlickrMiG-17PF-43 by Ryan Hothersall, on FlickrMiG-17PF-44 by Ryan Hothersall, on FlickrMiG-17PF-45 by Ryan Hothersall, on FlickrMiG-17PF-46 by Ryan Hothersall, on Flickr
VPBR
The mistakes are visible. I had the same problems when I was painting my mig-21 with the brush since I don't have an airbrush. Use more masking tape and thinner brushes. I hope that next MiG or some other type of airplane would be far more better. Best regards Edited June 4, 2015 by VPBR
WildeSau75
nice one - I like these MiG jets. Well done. Cheers, Michael
Spitfire31
Good build of an important type! I assume that the original was in natural metal livery, but I don't get an impression of NMF from the model, due to virtually invisible surface detailing and the same silver tone all over. Masking off some panels and paining them in slightly different metal nuances would go a long way toward making the model more interesting. Nice work all the same! Kind regards, Joachim
