Wez
A question for our Spanish correspondents/specialists in Iberian peninsular aviation. I intend to model Swords 1/72nd scale T-33 in Spanish markings, ideally like the scheme shown in this Ailiners.net photo in this link http://www.airliners.net/photo/Spain---Air/Lockheed-T-33A/1334452/L/&sid=f4eb4f2f876b6cf0e7ad65d6321da2fd - my question is how representative is this scheme? Most pictures I've seen of in-service aircraft show them in overall silver, those with pale-blue undersides seem to be preserved aircraft but this is a far more attractive scheme. Did Grupo 41 of Ala 15 actually fly T-33's in this scheme? Wez Edited December 15, 2013 by Wez

Irish 251
The Spanish site www.aviationcorner.net is a useful source and the Search function there will throw up lots of images of Spanish T-33s in service. Here is one example: http://www.aviationcorner.net/show_photo_en.asp?id=198283 To me they look like they may have Aircraft Gray FS16473 or similar lower surfaces. A lot of USAF T-Birds had such a finish as well, I think.

Found the actual aircraft on that decal sheet - E.15.52/41-5 and it has the blue undersides (and I think it's blue rather than aircraft gray 'cos it's quite blue). See here http://www.aviationcorner.net/show_photo_en.asp?id=254373 Irish251, this truly was a good steer, thanks for the gen! Wez
