I have a small diorama on the go and I want to build a model of the Airframe Repair Shop (ARS) at Yeoviliton Naval Air Station as a background. This building is the one that has five raised roof sections, it can be viewed on Google Earth. Does anyone have any images of this building, from ground level, perhaps taken during Air Days etc? I would be grateful if any views could be posted here, oor sent to me by pm. Thanks. Mike
Hi everyone, We were recently commissioned to create a really unique brand video for our client Yutaka Foods- Europe's largest Japanese food importer. Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJMyNJ5k8e8 I just wanted to let you know that we have now built the models and shot them all, edited and uploaded the video online. The 70 secs ad was shot in London using miniature models painstakingly created by our team of model makers. (It took them 5 weeks to build 5 different sets) The actual shoot took 5 days and the entire video was shot on 16mm film. We wanted to use traditional film cameras to give the video a sense of nostalgia that you can only achieve with a real film grain. Would love to hear any feedback from the forum about the photos!
Does anyone here have any data, or know of sources, on how to identify French buildings (mostly town and village types, not cities.) dimensions? I'm trying to identify/measure the heights of the first, second and three storeys, plus general roof (from gutter) heights etc. Same for doors, windows and stable doors etc. The plan is to make a couple of buildings in a French town or village setting, as part of the allied move through France 1944, but need these details in order to make the walls and fascias to scale etc. cheers Mike
Morning all, I'm (slowly) working on a1/72 airfield diorama to house my Lanc BIII Dambusters Special which will include a control tower amongst other things. Does anyone know of a source of reasonably realistic generic maps that work roughly in 1/72 or 1/76 that can be printed off. I want them to go on the walls of control tower and on desks. Google's failed me so far, but I'm sure Britmodeller will come up with the goods! Thanks Andrew
