The item I've sprayed has a complex shape and looking at it, I thought it would be easier to spray the enamel colour first then mask off for the Alclad. Also doing it that way, I would also have the correct finish to the colour and Alclad, if that makes sense. Never gave it a thought that the Klear Cotes would be celulose/lacquer based. For some reason I had it in my head that it was acrylic based. Don't know where that came from.
