  1. I bought an Aircom 38 at the end of last year, good service from Air-Craft and a game changer for me. Previously using a half-mask and an open window, the Aircom deals with the smell and unpleasantness without any problems. The unit together with a spare pair of filters cost me £222, shipping was free and delivery was quick, despite being delayed due to Storm Babel which was wreaking havoc in Scotland.
  2. Yup, got mine last weekend, one very sad propellor with a distinct kink at its join with the spinner. Contacted Airfix, they have no props left in their spares bin, luckily I think the prop from the ancient Airfix Tiger Moth that I use as a paint test dummy will be a good substitute. The main transparency has a large air bubble in it, luckily Airfix do have still have these in stock.
  3. Received mine this morning, happy to see the 1960 moulding date which makes it older than me! The transparency is thick, but clarity appears OK, it can only improve with a dip in the magic potion. Disappointed to find that the cabin struts (#35 & #36) are both bowed, they might bend back in hot water, or alternatively some plastic rod will easily act as a substitute. I have informed Airfix for QC data. The Cartography decals look sharp under the magnifier. Looking at some videos on YouTube the inclusion of oxygen masks for the crew appears accurate! It's currently air drying after washing prior to a bit of flash (not much) removal and priming.
