  1. It doesn't matter, and we all know that a scale model is not perfect, even if technology allows us to approach the reality of the real thing. Many of us will replace the plastic nozzle with a much more detailed aftermarket set. I'm eager to get my hands on this model.
  2. Thank you guys! I’m learning a lot from your comments about an era I didn’t know much about. Thanks to Airfix for releasing this plane—I’ve never assembled it before. My main topics of interest in English aircraft are the Spitfire, Sea Fury, and Hurricane from the Second World War, as well as the Jaguar, Tornado, and, of course, the Eurofighter. Now, it’s time for me to explore the missing period between 1945 and 1980. You'll be my precious help. Why don't we have the Royal Navy figurine as the after market, that's not fair.
  3. I'd like to have it on a 1/48 scale. Anyway, I'll buy one no matter it's the 1/35.
  4. Thanks Homebee for the information, It's like usual: buy Trumpeter's kit, open the box, compare the references you have, and throw the whole thing in the trash, for plastic recycling.
  5. 👍 guys. No update for the Gannet but the Tugmaster deck tractor is almost done. Can anybody can confirm this pilote's suite is the right one? It's a Modelu's figurine for the Buccaneer's pilots, is that correct for the Gannet too?
  6. So FZ's design is very accurate. 👍 One more question, how's the approximate dimension of that thing? No update of the Gannet by now, sorry about that.
  7. Does the ringbolt look that way and is painted red or orange?
  8. I am not a Gannet specialist but this plane fascinates me and through your comments, I learn new things about the Royal Navy, and you are so right, the wheel is indeed red and on the other side it seems to me that it is a strange green, it is not a bright green, nor a green of English rigging color. It looks like a slightly black green and the red is not a bright red either. I thought the color matched the color of the propeller pan, how stupid of me and I will fix that. I also thank you Roof Rat for the valuable information on the location of the lashing holes. You are great guys!!! So what's next? That should be the Royal Navy's Buccaneer.
  9. Some more pictures.
  10. Tonight is a movies time, thank you 71 Chally.? I'm not sure about the dimensions of the spacing between these holes, the best thing would be for me to make a drawing to see how many holes there would be on my diorama and I thank you in advance for your valuable help fz6. A little update of the day.
  11. My condolences to his family and loved ones. This man had made me discover my passion for English planes through his well-designed accessories. Bof ce Bie: Your model must be Heller's. I have the same aircraft from Kitty Hawk to finish, and I really like this plane, especially its first version with its little beard under the nose
  12. Thank you, Rob de Bie and Bootneck, for your clarification. I think you're right—these holes are neither very big nor very deep. In the photos with the Sea Kings, we can clearly see the small rings. However, this helicopter's first flight was in 1958, the same year I built the Gannet on HMS Ark Royal. This places us not too far from the end of the Second World War, and I believe these small rings appeared on the modified flight deck sometime afterward. Its design closely resembles that of a Japanese aircraft carrier, with what appears to be just a simple metal bar, at least, that’s how it looks to me after enlarging the photos. It’s easier to find photos of Phantoms and Buccaneers on aircraft carriers, but these images are more recent and don’t correspond to 1958. This project, which I initially thought would be simple, has turned out to be rather delicate—but I’m happy to be learning new things.
  13. But the Gannet is not a helicopter, I understand the idea but I need to represent the Airfix Gannet at 1/48, a Palouste and a Tugmaster deck tractor for the Royale Navy will surely add life to this little diorama under construction.
  14. I think it's better that I make some adaptations for the characters. I don't know the difference in clothing between Americans and English, but in the few photos that I could find on the internet, the helmet is often missing. The pilots The crews
  15. The project involves creating a diorama featuring the Gannet on a section of the Ark Royal’s deck. I need assistance with the details of the tie-down holes on the deck floor. Additionally, I’m looking for 1/48 scale Royal Navy figures from the 1960s, if you know any manufacturers that produce them, I’d greatly appreciate your recommendations. Thank you. In some W.I.P pictures, the floor looks so empty without the tie-down holes.
  16. I hope this helicopter kit gets produced as a plastic injection model, perhaps by Zvezda or Kitty Hawk.
  17. You get the point. We used to see more pictures of this new kit, but the cockpit isn't accurate, and the same goes for the air intake's shape. Will see.
  18. This is very good news for the large-scale Rafale model. The drawing of the plane is well-executed; however, I don't believe it was based on official plans provided by Dassault. The nose appears too long, and the HMI lacks some length. This is evident in the photos, and the landing gear is overly simplified for this scale. A patient modeler could create an impressive representation of this aircraft with careful attention to detail. The main gear with the TALIOS Pod The cockpit with the IHM
  19. Maybe AIrfix in the further. Just look at their last productions as the Gannet, sea King and Buccaneer, those are awesome with British colors paint scene.
  20. It looks like a Matchbox model but this time 3d Printed. Thank you for sharing the pictures.
  21. Looks great but how to order that kit? Don't they ship out from Japan? That could be build for a diorama with a A6M2 from Eduard or Academy's Zero with the skeleton beside.
  22. I just hope you are right, but Heller didn't made any new models since their last release of the M2000C/D and the Jaguar. I really want to see new models of those airplanes in 1/48, infact the KH's Jaguar wasn't that bad after all.
  23. I'll get one or more, that kit looks gorgeus.
  24. I buy a kit because I like that aircraft and want having good time to build it. I won't spend my time and money for so many after market to fix the wrong shape and adding details to the kit. So I don't buy any Trumpeter or Hobby boss anymore, it's my own opinion.
  25. I'll get one for sure.
