RAF Aircraft since 1939, RAF in general, photography but not much going on there, I want to wait 'til I can afford to go digital, Rugby Union (watching, I'm not that energetic) and wildlife.
Hi Jennings,
One thing I did find out was that there was more than one size and more than one way of wrapping them around the fuselage. Anyway, the information about the yellow and black bands is very much appreciated.
Tom
Quite right; red for present day aircraft. I believe correct colour should be either black or interior green. If in doubt you can always leave the crowbar off; it wasn't always carried.
Thanks, I've seen this one before. The problem is that it shows McConnell's aircraft as it was after his return to the US. On his return the spelling of Beauteous was corrected, it had previously been Beautious. Also, the kill markings were changed to stars from MiG profiles. You see the problem?
I have the Kinetic F86F and I want to finish it as Beauteous Butch. My problem is that all the decals I have seen for this aircraft have the Beauteous Butch in red, but I have reason to believe that this should actually be yellow. Does anybody have definitive information on this?
