  1. Hi Jennings, One thing I did find out was that there was more than one size and more than one way of wrapping them around the fuselage. Anyway, the information about the yellow and black bands is very much appreciated. Tom
  2. Hi again Tony, A thought occurs to me: is the width including or excluding the black edges? Cheers, Tom
  3. Hi Tony, Many thanks for that, I'm very grateful for the information. Cheers, Tom
  4. I know that Pup intimately. I know one of the part owners and had a quick trip in her earlier this year.
  5. Could anyone help me with the dimensions of the yellow and black id bands found on F86 Sabres during the Korean War?
  6. Just an enquiry at the moment; would you be able to produce the Beauteous Butch artwork in Insignia Yellow for 1/32 F86F Sabre?
  7. Quite right; red for present day aircraft. I believe correct colour should be either black or interior green. If in doubt you can always leave the crowbar off; it wasn't always carried.
  8. Got one, going to be watching this very closely.
  9. What a totally original idea, beautifully conceived and executed.
  10. I remember seeing Hunters at Farnborough in the fifties without wing tanks. Somewhere in my collection there may even be photos showing them.
  11. After seeing all that work I take it you don't get out much!
  12. Yeah, I've seen that one too, problem is that shows his first mount before he was shot down.
  13. Thanks, I've seen this one before. The problem is that it shows McConnell's aircraft as it was after his return to the US. On his return the spelling of Beauteous was corrected, it had previously been Beautious. Also, the kill markings were changed to stars from MiG profiles. You see the problem?
  14. I have the Kinetic F86F and I want to finish it as Beauteous Butch. My problem is that all the decals I have seen for this aircraft have the Beauteous Butch in red, but I have reason to believe that this should actually be yellow. Does anybody have definitive information on this?
  15. Thanks for the info guys. Wallet is now at the ready!
  16. Thanks, Paul, but they don't stock what I want.
  17. Does anybody out there know of a UK stockist of Wolpack Design resin sets?
  18. I'll be there on Saturday manning the Lincolnshire Aviation Society stand, come and give us a call.
  19. Come on a Monday, ask for Tom 2, and I'll gladly show you around.
  20. Me too! It was picking up para's for D-Day anniversary commemorative drop.
  21. Hi Mat, Go and have a look at the Aeroclub area in the Traders section, there's a great article on vacform modelling.

    Clean Air

I always have trouble with dust when I'm airbrushing. So I am thinking about an air purifier. Will one of these solve my problems, or am I barking up the wrong tree?
  24. Does anyone out there have the kit provided "MB-T" code letters that I could give a home to. I found out today why you shouldn't touch decals when they have strong setting solution on them. If you do have them, please drop me a PM.
  25. Don't use isopropyl alcohol, it'll turn the paint to gloop. I know, I tried it.
