wardy_fingers Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I'm now going through the process of tidying up the seats how do you remove the plug at the bottom of them safely?? Maybe a bread and butter thing to know how to do, but its the first time I've worked with a resin seat. Many thanks Wardy
Mike Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 You've got a couple of options. Sand it off - manually if you don't have a Dremel Cut it off with a razor saw Cut it off with a cutting wheel if you have a Dremel For all the options though, do it in a well ventilated space (I usually cut them off with my Dremel outdoors), and wear a respirator if you have one, a particle mask if you don't. Those small particles ain't good for your respiratory system

With it I can make a very small, straight cut. Then tidy things up with a sheet of sandpaper taped to a wooden board. (Makes the bottom of the seat nice and flat for super gluing into the cockpit ) Edited November 12, 2007 by AnthonyWan
wardy_fingers Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Cheers I'll be cutting it so far with the razor saw then finish off with sanding paper, that easy huh thought as much worth asking though Thanks Wardy

HTH Mike I use a razor saw. Cheap, uncomplicated and it lasts for ever. The only motive power needed is in your arm already.
