Hi!

As mentioned before I would like to build a RAFG a/c. I will get the squadron markings from the wonderful Airdoc RAFG Phantom sheet but I have one question left...

I know that RAFG aircrafts had some stencils in German next to their regular but I don't know which of the stencils where in German on the Jaguar.

Can anybody help?

Cheers,

Alex

Just had a look my Modern Combat aircraft No14 and the AW Jaguar profile.

The only obvious and very noticeable German stenciling is the Rescue arrows (Yellow) immediatley below the cockpit - where as the UK squadrons only had 1 rescue arrow, the RAFG squadrons had 2, 1 in English and I believe Rettung in German in the second.

I think that's the emergency canopy release.

If that's all... :speak_cool:

Hi Alex

:)

me again. If you have Aeroguide 31 on the Jag look at page 23.

It shows clearly the 3 signs on the PORT side German markings as a requiremnt of German Law.

Stbd side was the same. Yes it was the Canopy Jetison release.

There were some variations in 'style' so you would need to check ref to be sure.

There were no other German markings applied to RAFG Jags.
